Bessie Manchu
Bessie Manchu has a BA degree from the University of Limpopo (Turfloop), a higher diploma in Human Resources Management from the University of Johannesburg, and a MBA from the Milpark Business School. She also attended the Management Advancement Programme at the Wits Business School, and has completed a number of courses in finance and IT. She has travelled extensively in Europe, India and the Middle East.
Bessie has over eighteen years' experience in finance, customer service, management consulting and SME development. Her experience in customer service and consulting in strategy and change management has provided her with insights into the dynamics of organisations and people, and what is required to make change happen and make change stick.
Bessie is the Territory Manager for the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute in Southern Africa. The Cisco Entrepreneur Institute (CEI) was introduced to the Emerging Markets in September 2007 and created to focus on the educational needs of entrepreneurs and Small & Medium Business owners. The Institute is headquartered in San Jose in the United States of America, and Bessie reports directly to the regional office in Dubai in the Middle East.
Bessie's responsibilities are to:
- Promote the Cisco Entrepreneur Institute in Southern Africa, and later sub-Saharan Africa;
- Establish partnerships between Governments / business entities and Cisco Systems;
- Establish new training centres in her territory; and
- Monitor training centre performance against targets set.
